Q I believe in God, isn't that enough?
Christianity is about relationship. It starts by believing that Jesus came to earth and died on a cross so that we might be forgiven, and no longer separated from God. That belief is the start of a friendship with God. That seems to be enough for some, but it seems such a waste to leave it there. In Christ we have forgiveness, freedom, healing, acceptance, identity, worth, and so much more. We receive these as part our ongoing relationship. Just as you receive acceptance and love from your friends by hanging out over a period of time, so we receive these things when we hang out with God. To start a relationship with the Creator of the Universe, and leave it at that without enjoying and developing the relationship would be like sitting on a winning lottery ticket and not cashing it in.
